The Future’s Golding Places

In this month’s blog post Anne Chapman, who heads up the New Business and Commercial Services team at Golding Homes, talks about the exciting new opportunities that Golding Places brings to the Golding Homes Group.

Diversification is a key part of the housing sector at the moment, so lots of organisations are now delivering more products of different types and services.

Here at Golding Homes we are keen to extend our offer beyond the core social landlord services and to play our part in delivering a growing number of homes of mixed tenure to help tackle the housing crisis.

Golding Places is the facility to be able to do that in the most effective way and all of our properties for shared ownership, outright sale, and market rent fall under the Golding Places umbrella.

We’re proud to have made a very distinctive brand with Golding Places, because that provides us with the opportunity to market something that is very different to the other products that we offer through Golding Homes. It creates a distinctive high quality product out there in a very competitive market.

We have a busy year ahead with over 100 new homes being offered to the market across more then 10 sites in the South East. These include a wide ranging portfolio from parts of large developments to small discrete rural schemes, with mixed tenure opportunities covering Dartford, Lenham, Sutton Valence, Marden, Hawkhurst, Aldington, Maidstone, Strood, Bearsted and Ashford.   We’ve also got five apartments available for market rent in Rainham which will be available from Spring 18.

With a strong reputation for regeneration and Phase 3 of our award winning scheme in Park Wood in Maidstone due for completion in Spring 2018, we will have a selection of contemporary homes and apartments for shared ownership and market rent available soon.  This has been a really exciting project, which is not just about developing new homes, but also place-making and creating a sustainable community for generations to come.

So from our perspective, we want to be a key leader – ahead of the game and delivering much needed homes for local people.  We’re also looking to grow and keen to work with like minded partners, so if you are interested in discussing new business opportunities, then please contact me at anne.chapman@goldinghomes.org.uk
